Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Desktop Computer
The story of a gang of unscrupulous pirates landing on Rayman's world with a mission to capture and take over the population is an adventurous one, to say the least. However, the story of Rayman 2 is much improved over the “Mr. Dark” story of its predecessor, Rayman. Story lines and game plots aren't the only drastic changes to affect Rayman's world; the transformation from 2D to 3D is the most relevant alteration in the short history of the series. Moving into the 21st Century, Ubi Soft's development of Rayman is set to be a successful one for the PC powerhouses of late. Rayman will now be featured in as many as twenty levels of high resolution, textured, light sourced, detailed visuals, helping to create some of the most faithful environments of the Rayman universe to date. Since Rayman is a cartoon creation, he is capable of much more than the average human being. His non-existent limbs allow him to throw his gloved fist over long distances, and his bizarre hairstyle gives him some leverage with the field of flight. These unique character features have given Ubi Soft a great amount of freedom with game design. With all the aforementioned features intact for the final product, it's no surprise that Rayman 2: The Great Escape boasts some fantastic playing elements and as many as forty hours of gameplay. Well done, Ubi Soft.
