Even though Gremlin - an unfortunately now-defunct developer - is a name from the past, the company's legacy lives on thanks to the efforts of Zoo Digital Publishing. Gremlin's Actua series is one of the most fondly remembered offerings from the 1990's - a sports range that was the cream of the crop in its early PlayStation heyday. Well, now it's been revived with Actua Ice Hockey 2 for PC. Traditionally an American sport, Ice Hockey is infamous for its rough and tumble tactics. This is accurately showcased in Actua Ice Hockey 2. A direct sequel to its PlayStation predecessor, Actua Ice Hockey 2 surpasses the efforts of most developers, bringing with it a full-on, hardcore championship. Graphics are reasonable and the gameplay is as good as it ever was. A welcome return from Actua.
