Age Of Empires Gold Edition, Desktop Computer
Originally released back in 1997, Age of Empires proved to be quite a success. Enough so, that the expansion pack, Rise of the Romans, was to be placed alongside it. A year later and the two games were to be bundled in the ultimate strategy package, Age of Empires Gold Edition. In the gold edition, use can now utilise the features of both the original and the expansion pack on one CD, and at no extra cost. Once again, you get to play god in an attempt to rule the world through construction, expansion and population. You and your empire are not the only human beings on the planet, however. If you want to continue to grow, you must conquer other empires with the same intentions as you. Once defeated, you can populate the land as you see fit. Since it's the Stone Age, resources and tools don't come knocking on your door. You have to work to expand. Raw materials are just as valuable as the cash you have in your pocket and must be used wisely. With four new civilisations to choose from and time periods ranging from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, you will be staring at your screens for quite some time to come.
