Players must formulate impeccable strategies and study the enemy to execute a successful mission. The game comprises of dozens of levels that offer a unique but equally challenging experience to the player. Some stages involve infiltration, while others entail the player participating in an all out shoot-em-up. The Commandos environments have been designed with care, and encourage the player to act quickly and with few errors. These environments play host to some 350 individual buildings, structures, vehicles and weapons, all from the World War 2 period. With all the aforementioned features, a multi-player option and some cunning AI routines, Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines offers everything the real-time strategy fan could ask for.
