Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, Desktop Computer
One blast from destruction, Voyager is mysteriously transported to into a null space infested with danger. As part of Voyager's elite Hazard team, you must defend it from a host of scavenging aliens, then infiltrate a Borg cube and derelict vessels to eradicate your foe. After receiving an urgent distress call, Voyager has fallen into a trap, under attack from a sphere of unknown energy. An evil, malevolent intelligence is controlling this area of space. A powerful gravitational dampening field has rendered voyager powerless. The Hazard team is the only chance voyager has. The LCARS menu (Library Computer Access System) is from the series and films and gives a professional interface that looks like it's from the future. Using voices from the cast it helps create an immersive environment. Elite Forces is your chance to be a part of the TV show, albeit an action packed adventure where you decide the destiny of the crew. Voyager Elite Force runs on a modified Quake 3 engine. Using new graphical features such as compressed textures and Anisotropic filtering, this title looks amazing. Being inside a Borg cube is terrifying, especially when they adapt to your weapons and you are cornered. With 40 intense single player missions, and 16 multi-player arenas, this is one game you won't be putting down in a hurry. With an incredible on-line experience to complement the gameplay, Elite Force has to be recommended. Remember, if Voyager is destroyed, humanity won't be far behind.

X3 ReunionYou'll remember Egosoft's last game set in their 'X-universe' - X2: the Threat. Now the space trading game is back, after last being seen at E3 looking rather spiffing. Once again, this X game uses Egosoft's 'Artificial Li...

Cricket 2005Let's not jinx it, but the summer of 2005 sees England with the best chance of winning back the Ashes for some time. The current Test side has been strengthened year on year: old timers like Thorpe, Vaughan, Trescothick, even Ashley Giles are on great form, and players new to international Tests a season or two ago - Flintoff and Harmison - now display the confidence that can only come from experi...
