Visually, MI4 consists of hundreds of highly detailed, pre-rendered backdrops instead of the alternative, real-time 3D. A valuable choice when you consider the excessive amount of dialogue within the game. Active, on-screen play is completed through navigating your main character and solving puzzles. Other than this, MI4 is essentially a text-based game, in which you must ask the right questions to achieve your goals, or obtain the correct information for you to progress. Escape from Monkey Island is an involved game, and will take quite some time to work through. However, the game's gripping story line will ensure that your spent time is not wasted.
