Diablo 2, Desktop Computer
Diablo 2 is one of the first major PC releases within the RPG genre for the year 2000. Retaining all the RPG elements of its predecessor and adding a few new elements of its own, this sequel is said to belong on the A-list. Diablo 2 introduces you to a set of characters that are completely unique, each with their own attributes and statistics. Some players are strength based, other are magic based leaving them with their own strengths and weaknesses. As with any standard RPG, your character will level up as you progress. The difference here is that when you do you level up, you get to decide what status attributes are affected, where by you are given a specific number of points, and you can allocate them to the attribute of your choice. This small difference allows you to make your character individual to your own specifications. This is a bonus, as when playing in multiplayer, other players with the same characters and levels will not necessarily be the same. Battles take place in the real time 3D environments that you roam in. Once you encounter an enemy, it's up you what kind of attack you use, but there is a general rule. In most situations, strong magical attributes equate to weak physical attributes, and vice versa. This is a very desirable title, but be warned, as with any other RPG, you will need time to get into Diablo 2.
