Conquest: Frontier Wars, Desktop Computer
A typical game of Frontier Wars allows players to assume control of a race of aliens named the Terrans. But things aren't looking good for your home galaxy. You are engaged in battle with several other races, focused on your destruction. You must use your wits if you are to survive the conflict and emerge victorious. You must prevail! Battles take place with great frequency. You must learn to control a vast number of allied units and target the opposition with minimal casualties. Thankfully, there is a training option for this complex game that helps the most inexperienced RTS fan get to grips with Frontier Wars' playing style. Battles aside, you must also learn to construct and manage a society for the Terrans to reside in. This entails constructing buildings and managing living space and raw materials. If your resources expire, you must 'seek out new worlds' and, umm, 'discover new civilisations' (steady on!). Basically, your ultimate goal within the game is to 'boldly go where no person has gone before' (right, that's enough of that. We'll be getting a letter from a powerful lawyer, you know). Overall, Frontier Wars is a comprehensive, thoroughly enjoyable and intriguing RTS game. It has an intuitive control system and is easily accessible to players of all ages ready to take on the enormous challenge it offers. Engage!
