Chicken Run, Desktop Computer
Based on the 2000 cinema release of the same name, this PC tie-in, offers children an interactive experience of the film. First and foremost, there are a number features for you to use with your PC. You can have Chicken Run screensavers, along with clips from the film itself. Utilities aside, there are also two new games for you to get hooked on. These games are about as simple as they come, yet they are still capable of causing difficulties for any game player. The first game, Spring Chicken, is as simple as a game of Pong, whereby you have to get the chickens from one roof to another with the use of a spring cushion. The other game in the pack, Run Chicken Run, is only a little more complicated, but complicated enough to keep you coming back. Here, you have to guide the chickens through a small maze, and keep any holes covered with short planks of wood. Simple but frantic.

Typing of the DeadHouse of the Dead 2 with the guns replaced by keyboards and quickfire shooting from the hip replaced with rapid typing? It's a strange world. So, put that lightgun away and warm up your fingers for a different kind of bloodbath. This strange game is straight from the Japanese arcades where Sega had ingeniously hooked a keyboard up to a Naomi cabinet. The game was a massive success, causing Sega to...
Homeworld 2The release of the original Homeworld was one of Sierra's biggest releases of 1999, showcasing spectacular space-based combat with high-end graphics that still look good today. But it's sequel, Homeworld 2, is set to push the benchmark forward another step as players get to grips with a brand new story, an overhauled RTS game engine, and even more stunning visuals. Years after the Higarans reclaim...
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2: Time TwisterArguably the most successful tycoon game to hit the industry, Chris Sawyer's Rollercoaster Tycoon has already become one of the most extensive and well-supported simulation games ever created. The original game was released in 1999 and saw the release of several expansion packs before its sequel was released. And now the second game in the series is to get its second expansion pack, aptly named Ti...
Warrior KingsJust imagine Command and Conquer in 3D, set in Medieval times... that's what Warrior Kings is all about. It's a 3D real-time strategy game from Microids and it's a very promising title. Now, although graphics are not the most significant aspect by a long shot, we have to say that Warrior Kings looks absolutely stunning, even for a PC title. Everything about the game is polished, we simply can't fa...
Superbike 2001If the motorcycle racing genre ever needed a kickstart, then EA's Superbike 2001 is the game to do it. I can't vouch for every place in the United Kingdom, but here, in your author's town, in the latter part of the first year of the 21st century, there seems to be an outbreak of scooterism. Like the abrasive summer hummings of a thousand budget lawnmowers, they're everywhere. They are cheap to run...
Sonic RA racing game staring Sonic the Hedgehog makes sense when you think about it. The first thing everyone noticed about the first incarnation of Sonic was the awesome speed at which it moved. It would be fair to say that at the time of its release, Sonic the Hedgehog was the fastest game ever, moving along at a rate previously thought unimaginable. Even the Gamegear version was LCD blurringly quick. ...
