Are you ready to rock? This is Kiss Pinball and it's on your PC. Someone decided that it would be a good idea to mix the ageing, but still popular rock band with a pinball table. Come to think about it, that's not a bad idea. What's on offer in Kiss Pinball is two tables for you to fall in love with: Last Stop: Oblivion and Netherworld. As the title indicates, the tables are Kiss themed and even the sub-games involve Kiss-related shenanigans. In Last Stop: Oblivion you try to hit enough targets and ramps to take Kiss on a tour around the world and try to get past the security guard to go backstage to win an autograph. On the Netherworld table, the Kiss bad boys have challenged the devil for his Netherworld. You'll have to use all your skills, along with a slice of luck, to collect all of the weapons and all of the lost souls. You might also want to save your groupies from the evil one while you're there. Show the devil who the kings of rock are. Kiss Pinball has a five-ball multi-ball mode, which is extremely frantic, exciting and just about manageable. It also boasts voice-over samples from none other than Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, members of Kiss don't you know. You can choose from either a static or scrolling screen view, depending on what you like best. Most pinball games don't give you this option. But, a pinball game wouldn't be anything without realistic physics and ball movement and Kiss doesn't disappoint. It offers a good game of pinball and that's what's important. The Devil may have all the best tunes (God knows Kiss ran out of them around 1976) but this game has some of the best pinball action we've seen in a long time.
