Since the launch of the original MechWarrior series, a number of sequels were made, such was its popularity. New for 2000, Hasbro interactive have put together a collection of the series, containing Mech Commander Gold, MechWarrior 3 and its accompanying expansion pack. Roll on MechWarrior. The whole MechWarrior series begins in the 31st century, quite an advance from current times. Now, combining the three games together, there are over twenty different Mechs for you to try out, not all of which will be accessible to you from the start. You can choose your units and deploy them as you see fit, as well as repairing and customising them to your own specifications. Because of the complexity of the controls of the MechWarrior series, a training mode has been employed, allowing you to get to grips with some of the 40+ control keys. In addition to training, campaign and instant start modes, there is a scenario option, allowing you to take part in one of six events in an attempt to amend the nasty situations that await you. With all the aforementioned options, and a multi-player Internet play option, there are hours and hours of gameplay to get your teeth stuck into. Fans of the series will especially like his compilation.
