It's time once again to rub some liniment into those aching fingers and thumbs and to graze your knees with the latest addition to EA's top-notch football series. FIFA titles have been coming at us for a fair few years now, and have differed wildly in quality. After a couple of letdowns in the past year or two, FIFA 2001 looks set to redress the balance somewhat. Someone at Electronic Arts has obviously been working late, making all kinds of graphical and game-play tweaks. Whoever it is, they deserve a pat on the back. Right from the start, you can tell you're in for a game that's much improved on its predecessors. The in-depth but easy to navigate menus that are EA's trademark are still in evidence, for those who simply must make their own adjustments, and there are club teams from all over the world as well as a major international representation. FIFA 2001 is a handsome devil of a game alright, despite the picture of ginger wizard Paul Scholes on the cover. It's sheer playability guarantees longevity, and the number of teams and game management options available will surely give many fans a reason to go to bed late. And your girlfriends thought it was all over with FIFA 2000...

Atlantis 3: The New WorldThere are many ways to create an atmospheric video game, but a detailed environment that you can fully immerse yourself in is often the most effective. This was demonstrated well in the recent Dracula games for PC, that boasted smooth pre-rendered rotating backdrops. Players were given full access to their surroundings in the most visually pleasing way possible. Atlantis 3: The New World is anothe...
Need For Speed: Porsche 2000Misleading game title ahoy! Granted, in Need For Speed Porsche 2000 we find the very latest models from the German genii, gorgeous sports cars whose form has changed little through the decades, but have always remained ultimately stylish and desirable. The game title is a bit of a misnomer simply because of the sheer number of models represented. Enter the Evolution mode and you'll see just what I...
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max PayneWhen the original Max Payne was released back in 2001 it raised a few eyebrows with its combination of dark, gritty storyline, strong use of narrative, cinematic visuals and overall mature target audience. Most notable, though, was its introduction of the now commonplace 'bullet time' idea, which gave players the ability to slow down the action sequences, Matrix-style, and thus allow them to dodge...

If you're looking for more enjoyment from Black and White, then look no further. Creature Isl...

Desperados: Wanted Dead or AliveStrategy games have been known to cover many themes in the past. These games have been based in space and medieval environments to name but a few.
