Red Faction is an accomplished first-person shooter. It has all the hallmarks of a modern classic. The story is well written and conveys a feeling of unrest and tension. The control method works well and your character feels responsive. The graphics look delicious in the high-resolution modes. The Geo-Mod technology allows for more realistic gameplay. Instead of wasting your precious ammo supply on a heavily armed vechicle, destroy the ground in front of the truck. If the truck tumbles into the hole it is incapacitated. If you like games like Quake and Half-Life, Red Faction is worth checking out.
