Lego Creator: Knights' Kingdom, Desktop Computer
Lego is continuing to bring the world of plastic bricks to interactive entertainment with the release of upcoming Lego Creator: Knight Kingdom. This could be considered to be an interactive version of one of the many Lego style role-playing board games. Based around Medieval times, you must go on a mission of brick building to prevent the nasty Cedric from invading Richard the Strong's castle and taking over the kingdom. Once you begin the game, you will be treated to a few compulsory tutorial challenges that will help you to get to grips with the already simple mechanics of the game. To make life a little easier, the Lego-based world means that you will be able to construct walls, prisons, and other offensive and defensive objects with relative ease. You must learn to build perimeter walls, catapults, cannons and prison cells if you are to discourage Cedric from launching an attack. Regardless of your efforts, you will still have to defend yourself as part of the story line, much of which is shown in a number of role-playing scenes. Lego Creator is, in effect, nothing more than simple interactive version of a complex board game. However, it sure is a heck of a lot cheaper than forking out hundreds of pounds on useless bits of plastic. A worthy purchase for role-playing fans.
