Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Desktop Computer
It's been a long time coming but the wait is over, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is LucasArt's latest third-person adventure set in the Star Wars universe. Running on a modified Quake 3 engine, Jedi Knight 2 is one of the best single-player experiences currently available. Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the valley of the Jedi from Jerec. Kyle decided to hang up his lightsaber, but a new threat to the galaxy has made him reconsider his retirement. Jedi Outcast is easily the most graphically impressive game of the series. The texturing quality is of the highest standard and helps create detailed and beautiful environments. Jedi Outcast is cool because it lets you do what every Star Wars fan has wanted to do since first seeing the films: wield a lightsaber. Kyle can use the saber to attack enemies and deflect laser shots. As Kyle progresses through the game, he becomes more proficient at this and can even deflect shots back where they came from. Kyle is aware of the light and dark sides of the force and you can choose which path he follows. Naturally the decision you make will affect the abilities and skills that he possesses or can attain. Kyle can use the force to increase his jump, push heavy objects, confuse his enemies, heal himself, make himself move faster, use lightning attacks, pull objects, and choke. Jedi Outcast is an unmissable title for Star Wars fans.
