EverQuest New Dawn, Desktop Computer
In a gold edition style compilation, EverQuest New Dawn is a fine collection of the MMORPG's greatest releases. It comprises of The Ruins of Kunark, The Shadows of Luclin and The Scars of Velious expansion packs. Here's what you can expect... The Ruins of Kunark The Ruins of Kunark expansion retains all of the basic features and game structure that made the original a classic title. Health, magic, weapons, armour, dragons, knights - it's all here. But Ruins of Kunark adds its own distinctive flavour to EverQuest's game world. Most importantly, this expansion contains a completely new continent with its own dragon-infested environments. There are around 20 new 'zones' that feature new and original non-playable characters (NPCs), each with distinct personalities. After that, there's the usual plethora of new features - magic spells, weapons, characters, etc. But when it's all placed in a new world with new objectives, it effectively becomes a stand-alone game in its own right. Well almost. The Shadows of Luclin There are 25 brand new environments to master in Shadows of Luclin, in which you can tackle new quests, acquire new items and interact with a new set of non-playable characters. Visually, the game has been greatly enhanced and features an improved graphics engine and highly detailed character models, immersing the player in a more believable environment. There are increased minimum requirements to match (256 MB RAM) but it's well worth it. Shadows of Luclin is a fantastic online game that should keep gamers' collective RPG-hunger at bay for quite a while. The Scars of Velious Do you dare explore the lost continent of Velious, a forbidding land of Norrath forever scarred by the claws of the Great Dragon Veeshan? Here you will find some of the most dangerous and elusive creatures ever to roam the lands of Norrath. Challenge your resolve and adventuring skills as you set foot upon the icy wastes and explore a land locked in turmoil and conflict. This exciting second expansion pack for EverQuest uncovers unexplored paths to new adventures. So there you have it. Three massively multi-players classics in one. Roll on, EverQuest 2!

Music 2000Seeing as I am more familiar with Jimmy Saville than Judge Jools, I approached Music 2000 with trepidation. Haunted by the non-descript sounds made by bedroom-bound portastudio boffins that somehow made it onto Top Of The Pops, I slipped the disc into the tray and held my breath. Fifteen minutes later, I was convinced of my position as the long-lost third Chemical Brother. It really is that easy. ...
