Yes, you have also been charged with maintaining the account books. If you can't turn a profit in your dream mall, then there's no point in playing. There are also several other factors that can affect the profits of your business, including scenery, layout and shop size, not to mention shoplifters and thugs. Like so many other strategy games, you need to consider every factor in the equation to gain the largest profit margin. It's very much a case of subtly altering those little features that seem so futile but are actually crucial to a successful game. There's quite a challenge waiting for you in Mall Tycoon.
