Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader, Desktop Computer
Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader is an original role-playing game from Black Isle Studios - the people behind the Baldur's Gate series - and developed by Reflexive Entertainment, the team behind past PC favourites Zax and Swarm. The game takes the player back through the mists of time to 1588, and combines an intriguing story of an alternate medieval history and fast-paced real-time combat. A particular event during the Third Crusade caused the history of this Earth to diverge. This unfortunate event, known as The Disjunction, ripped open a long-sealed breach to other worlds. Magical energy and powerful spirits flowed into the world, changing the lands and the people forever. To those who could understand the nature of these new forces, the introduction of magic brought great power. To the common folk, magic was looked upon as evil. In this familiar yet unmistakably changed setting, the player must decide how to best develop their character's skills and abilities to surmount all obstacles and discover their true fate. Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader features the SPECIAL system for character advancement, which veteran role-players will recognise from the Fallout series of PC games. An array of monsters, scores of weapons and items, and more than 60 spells can be found in the game to test the player's aptitude for combat and spell-casting. Immersing yourself in the fantastic world of Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader makes for a smart first move - from now on, you are, in a sense, very much on your own.

NHL 2005Year on year, Electronic Arts succeeds in delivering the most popular, most in-depth and best-looking NHL titles to grace the genre. And NHL 2005 is true testament to this. Though updated season statist...
WormsComing as it did, when the PC was still struggling to assert itself as the top gaming platform, Worms was not well received by the PC press. Most grudgingly praised the gameplay, but few could forgive the rudimentary graphics, and 2D perspective. One PC reviewer slated the game and predicted that it would be a flop on all formats. That just shows what a clueless melon-farmer he is, because the gam...
