As the atypical old bloke in the pub will tell you, after knocking back a fair few shots of Lambs Navy Rum, those of us classified as the 'younger generation' should all be proud to be British. Proud to be British because our parents and grandparents put the Great in Great Britain and made the country what it is today. Yes, I'm talking about those brave heroes of World War 2 (cue brass section!) who risked their lives for our freedom. One such brave hero went by the name of Wing Commander Guy Gibson. On the night of the 16th of May 1943, Wing Commander Gibson led a squadron of 19 specially adapted Avro Lancaster Bombers on a daring attack on the dams of the river Ruhr. Gibson and his squadron were known as the Dam Busters. Back in the 21st Century, you can now relive their finest hour and many more courtesy of Just Flight's latest expansion pack and your trusty copy of Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator 2. Featuring authentic historical scenery, WWII airbases and all the aircraft, such as the Lancaster, Grand Slam Lancaster, Mosquito and Wellington, The Dam Busters places the player in the pilot's seat throughout 20 famous missions. As well as the squadron's most famous victory, players can also take part in their other great sorties, such as the sinking of the Tirpitz, raids on V1 and V2 rocket sites, Bergen U-boat pens and, of course, the raid on Hitler's 'Eagles Nest'. This is a must for fans of Combat Flight Simulator, and with sales in excess of 21 million, that's certainly a fair few of you. Our finest hour for under 25 quid. Can't be bad.

X3 ReunionYou'll remember Egosoft's last game set in their 'X-universe' - X2: the Threat. Now the space trading game is back, after last being seen at E3 looking rather spiffing. Taking full advantage of Direct X 9 technology, the game uses a brand new 3D engine to make a world where the factories and starships look just jaw-droppingly shiny and amazing. Once again, this X game uses Egosoft's 'Artificial Li...
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Gold EditionGold Edition - no gold though. Not even any of those gold-covered, chocolate pennies that your mum gets at Christmas. What there is, however, is a smashing great first-person shooter by the name of Ghost Recon, bundled with its subsequent mission pack Desert Siege. And all for a rather economical, sub-30 quid price tag. Can't be bad. Ghost Recon places players in charge of the Ghosts - a unique sq...

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the RingIt's surprising that it's not been done before. The saga of Middle Earth and its inhabitants is ideal material for a video game license. Years old, 8-bit attempts aside, it seems that it's taken the production of the blockbuster movie to convince the games industry to finally invest in the license. Now there's not one but two entirely different games, released on the same day, which plunge players...
