Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Gold Pack, Desktop Computer
Morrowind Gold Pack, in true gold pack style, gives you the original Morrowind game, bundled with the brand new expansion pack Tribunal. More bang for your buck, then? Well, yes if you consider the fact that it works out cheaper to buy this than the two titles separately. So it's an ideal purchase for PC owners who are, as yet, uninitiated as to the goings on in this massive RPG. The third chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga, Morrowind presents one of the most detailed virtual worlds to date. Released six years after the previous instalment, Daggerfall (1996 RPG of the year) this title is destined to redefine the genre, delivering an open-ended story on an impossibly grand scale. The player begins the story in the cargo hold of a slave ship, having been kidnapped. With nothing but basic clothing, the player is then dropped off in the sleepy port of Seyda Neen, on the island of Vvardenfell and ordered to deliver a package to an imperial officer in a city called Balmora, several days' walk away. From here, the saga begins with the player left free to explore the sights of Vvardenfell, meet the inhabitants and carry out various quests and objectives. This is made easier by the option of joining factions, which gains the player friends and opens up more doors. The player is thus able to follow the main storyline, or set off to explore the huge province of Morrowind and its vast cities, remote villages and interactive characters. Following on from the open-ended tale of the original game, Tribunal presents an entirely new quest, as well as new characters and environments. A ruthless new king has taken the throne of Morrowind, while an ageing god drifts deeper into madness. Into this chaos players are thrust, with deadly assassins close behind and Morrowind's uncertain future ahead. The journey takes players to Mournhold, capital city of Morrowind, to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil, and through massive, epic-sized dungeons.

While The Infernal Machine isn't Tomb Raider, the similarities between the two are uncanny. Level design and character animations are almost identica...
