Blade and Sword, Desktop Computer
Blade and Sword bravely posits itself as a new breed of role-player, with its mix of action and martial arts. The game unfolds in real-time, and players will experience a virtual weather system that provides real-time day and night periods with full screen light and shadow effects. Gamers can choose to play as one of three unique characters, use 36 different kung-fu attacks to defeat their opponents, as well as 12 super attacks for when they need to kick some serious bottom. Over 140 hours of gameplay will keep players occupied while they kick, chop, hack, thrust and slice their way through the game's 40 levels, which are divided into three chapters. There are also four difficulty levels for those who are quick to master Blade and Sword. 40 different monsters lurk within the game, each with its own special melee attack to keep players on their toes. If that's not enough to contend with, the monsters benefit from 'array grouping combat AI' that makes them gang up against you in new and unpredictable ways.

Etherlords IIAn RPG of sorts, the sequel to JoWood's popular Etherlords - imaginatively titled Etherlords II - is very similar to the original offering released in 2002. But the rule of if it ain't broke, don't fix it, which applies in so many instances, also applies here. The original game was popular enough, its sequel will be too. Gameplay in Etherlords II can be easily divided into two well-known styles - ...
Serious SamSerious Sam has a distinctly original approach that, while some would consider similar to Duke Nukem, is novel and frequently comical. Developed by Take 2, it's time to take a “serious” look at one of this year's not so serious games. The plotline of the game is on an epic scale. At the dawn of the 21st century, mankind uncovered a primitive but more technologically advanced race under...
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002: Professional EditionVideogames can recreate golf, tennis and life at home, among other things, but the best simulations allow you to do things that you would not be able to do in the real world: driving a Formula 1 car or piloting a jet for example. Microsoft's Flight Simulator Pro 2002 puts you in the pilot's seat of a selection of accurately modelled aircraft and lets you take to the skies. This game is designed fo...

Returning to the Forgotten Realms once again, Underdark is an unusually large expansion pack, and much more extensive ...
Age Of Empires Gold EditionOriginally released back in 1997, Age of Empires proved to be quite a success. Enough so, that the expansion pack, Rise of the Romans, was to be placed alongside it. A year later and the two games were to be bundled in the ultimate strategy package, Age of Empires Gold Edition. In the gold edition, use can now utilise the features of both the original and the expansion pack on one CD, and at no ex...
