Freedom Force Vs The Third Reich, Desktop Computer
Developed by Irrational Games and published by Electronic Arts, Freedom Force - released in 2002 - appealed to many gamers. Fusing the isometric RPG stylings of the Diablo games with a world of crime-fighting super heroes, the game required players to create and customise the members of their team of ubermensch, as well as their abilities. The skins, names and attributes could all be tailored to the player's wishes, and the heroes battled it out against hordes of enemies in a destructible cityscape. Now Irrational Games are back with a sequel, this time brought to you courtesy of Britsoft publishers Digital Jesters. Freedom Force now find themselves travelling back in time to face the Nazis in Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich. The game sees the heroes of the original, and three all new heroes, travelling back and meeting heroes from the 'Golden Age' of comics, featuring three more all-new characters. They must unite against the fiendish squad commanded once again by Nuclear Winter, who this time are allied with the equally world domination-bent Axis forces! The game is set in an alternate 1963 where the Timemaster has skewed history into a world where the Germans won World War II, but the world is not so different - the super heroes of the time are inspired by the classic comic book characters of the 60s. The game was created using the brand new Gamebryo engine, and the all-new graphics improve upon the already colourful and versatile original. Players will be pitched against masses of all-new foes in the single player game, and multiplayer mode has been totally overhauled and features several new modes. As before, the game also supports, and is supported by, an enormous modifying community. The free Modforce service gives you access to a character tool and editor offering new meshes and skins to create more heroes with, as well as tutorials by official and unofficial experts on how to go about creating the hero of your dreams. Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich is sure to be welcomed by the large community of modders and players who enjoyed the original game.

Following the explosion of the planet Nomads, the survivors drift on rocky islands through space. As a result, a new world has been created, with communities constructing factories, power stations and defensive structures on the flying islands...
