Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War, Desktop Computer
Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War (R&F) is a strategy combat game that gives players the opportunity to take command of one of the four mightiest empires of the ancient world (Egypt, Greece, Persia and Rome) plus four minor civilizations (Carthaginians, Babylonians, Gaul-Barbarians & Assyrians). R&F lets players fight alongside their troops as one of history's eight greatest heroes, including Julius Caesar, Ramses the Great and Achilles, in an attempt to bring victory to their nation on the battlefield. The game is powered by the Titan engine, which is a 3D engine designed specifically for real time strategy games. R&F also uses realistically-scaled siege towers, ladders and battering rams that destroy city defences, ultimately making way for the player's ground forces. You can enlist 80 unique units to your cause, including footmen, archers and cavalry etc. Gamers are also able to fight for the control of the sea by boarding and ramming enemy naval vessels, using accurately-scaled warships. You can help improve your civilization both economically and militarily by recruiting advisors, scientists, craftsman and artisans. Up to eight players can battle it out across various game types, including a team-based mode.
