Samba De Amigo, Electronic Games
Are you ready for some fun Latin spirit on the Dreamcast? It's time to shake, shake, shake! Introducing Sonic Team's Samba De Amigo, one of the most original games of all time. Samba is unquestionably a party game, and can be played by everyone, young or old. Samba De Amigo is a musical tour de force, it is a rhythm, timing game played by shaking maracas. The aim of the game is to shake your maracas in time to the tunes. There are six hexagons on the screen and little blue balls make there way towards them. When the two shapes meet, you must shake the maracas. There is a special sensor in the maracas that detects whether you are shaking them high or low. Things start to get tricky when you must shake your left maraca high and your right one low or some other fun combination. In Samba De Amigo you get graded on your performance, if you make too many mistakes you lose your turn. If you get into the swing of things and earn a grade of C or above you move onto the next stage. There are two gameplay features that make Samba De Amigo an even more enjoyable game to play. If you shake both maracas in the same direction, when applicable you can earn little amigo bonuses, helpful for getting good scores. Every now and again, an icon will come up showing you a pose to strike. There is no shaking during this time, but this is a right laugh with a group of friends, funny faces are preferable. With excellent music, top quality visuals and original gameplay, Samba De Amigo is a hit!
