Jurassic Park III: Park Builder, Electronic Games
Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder takes you behind the scenes of the most dangerous theme parks ever built. Similar to the original resource management game, Theme Park, you are responsible for all aspects of building, maintaining, and managing Jurassic Park. Except in Theme Park, there was no danger of the attractions breaking free and eating the customers. In Park Builder, you design every aspect of the park from the construction of roads, and buildings to the placement of attractions. Most importantly, Dinosaur DNA must be found to recreate the extinct beasts. Your first step is to send out excavation teams throughout the world to uncover fossils. This can be time consuming and costly, but it is an ongoing process and is necessary to find all 140 types of dinosaur available. The gameplay can be stressful at times, just like being a real manager. You need to understand exactly what it is that your customers want, because if you don't, you won't make any money. If your park design leaves a little to be desired, punters won't part with their hard earned cash, leaving you with a phone call to the creditors. There are plenty of tricks on hand to get the most out of your visitors. For example, if you place a restaurant at the end of a long path, it is likely that people will become hungry from the walk and stop in for a bite to eat. Another good tip is to wait until your park is making a profit before placing any dinosaurs in it, otherwise the drain on your bank balance will be immense. Jurassic Park 3: Park Builder is the first resource management game for the Game Boy Advance and is ideal for gamers that prefer strategy over reactions.
