WWE: Road to Wrestlemania, Electronic Games
The WWF phenomenon reached a mainstream audience in the UK in the early nineties, and its popularity has continued to grow at an astonishing rate. There have been many video game incarnations of the grapple-tastic free-for-all. THQ are in the ring with their premier Game Boy Advance wrestling title, WWF: Road to Wrestlemania. Players are able to participate as any of 24 world-famous, spandex-clad wrestling stars, including the legendary Undertaker and The Rock. All wrestlers have a multitude of moves and throws, helping to make Road to Wrestlemania an intense but balanced playing experience. There are six game modes available for your wrestling pleasure that include Single, Tag, Cage, Triple Threat and Submission. Each mode of play offers something that the others lack and helps to give a lot of variety to the game. To make things a little more realistic, the characters' postures alter throughout the bouts as they weaken. If all of the above isn't enough to satisfy your craving, you can literally beat the opposition with a number of what can only be described as brutal weapons. The use of these weapons is necessary if you are to take home all six belts, especially the WWF Heavyweight Championship. It may not be Smackdown: Just Bring It for PlayStation 2, but Road to Wrestlemania certainly packs a punch.

Unfortunately for some, trouble has a way of finding its own targets to pick on, and in this case, the blighter has singled out Zeke Holloway, the fine-looking fellow at the centre of the film/amusement park ride spin-off that is The Haunted Mansion. 999 souls a...
SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying DutchmanOne of the latest crazes (and also one of the strangest creations) in the cartoon world is SpongeBob SquarePants, the square-shaped sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea with his pet snail, Gary. Whatever the guys at Nickelodeon were on when they thought this one up is anyone's guess. Well, being a popular cartoon character and all that, it was fairly inevitable that he'd end up starring i...
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3It's fairly safe to say that there's no greater name than Tom Clancy when it comes to tactical first-person shooters. Originally starting out on the PC, the Rainbow Six series and its associated games are now pretty much cross-platform, with this latest instalment released for the Xbox, complete with support for Xbox Live. As usual, the game involves you commanding an elite, multinational squad of...

The Sims 2When games designers first pitched the idea of The Sims to Electronic Arts, the publishing mega-monster famously doubted that the idea was viable. The go ahead was eventually given though, and the svengalis in Redwood Towers have been bathing in the resulting lucre ever since, as the game and its many spin-offs became the biggest selling videogame of all time. With the market for the title proven,...
Rayman 10th AnniversaryUbisoft's most loveable and enduring character is 10 years-old in 2005, and here's a bargain priced celebration of that fact in the shape of Rayman Advance and Rayman 3 in a limited edition double pack. Rayman Advance was one of the best 2D platformers to come along for a long time way back when. In 2005, it still looks pretty good. Each of the four layers of parallax scrolling are brightly colour...
