Antz Extreme Racing, Electronic Games
Based on the characters and locations from the top-selling Dreamworks animated feature, Antz Extreme Racing is, wait for it, a racing game. With a simultaneous release on the PC, PS2 and Game Boy Advance, Antz Extreme Racing on the XBox follows the same plot as the rest of them. This is no bad thing. In order to prove the existence of Insectopia (that's Ant Heaven to you and me) a major racing competition is organised. Involving all the insect tribes, this championship series lasts throughout Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, and involves racing the weird and wonderful vehicles found in the insect world. Sardine tins, soda cans and a whole host of bizarre vehicles must be raced to the max, in order to beat popular characters such as Z, Princess Bala, General Mandible and Colonel Cutter, to reach the top of the (ant)hill. Set across levels such as the Forest Park, the Frozen Pond, the City, and the illusive Insectopia, the races feature everything one would expect from a contemporary racing game. Bonuses are scattered throughout the levels, helping players along the way. On the other hand, giant obstacles and hazards, such as huge holes, bumps, nails, rocks and oil lie in wait, hindering the less observant player. Antz Extreme Racing is a fun, explorative, action-packed racing game, featuring big enemies, action scenes and imaginative track design. It's also the only game we can think of that lets you drive a tin recently vacated by small fish!

Which brings us to this release from Empire, Starsky & Hutch - a driving/shooting type game that pays close attention...
