Both vital information and clues are gathered along the way by friendly characters, which help Cecil find the reason for the king's strange behaviour. Every time you win a battle or successfully complete a task, you will earn experience, giving you points. Earning enough points will make the character 'level up', resulting in making you more powerful. It is also possible for players to upgrade their characters with new and improved items and equipment. Final Fantasy IV Advance enjoys vastly improved graphics and sound. The background visuals have also been improved and enhanced. The game also features an entirely new 50 level dungeon, with new creatures and extremely difficult bosses to defeat.
