Alien Trilogy, Sony Playstation
With the release of Ridley Scott's “Alien” in 1979, a new Hollywood franchise was born, and is it turns out, became one of the most successful creations in the history of filmmaking. After two sequels, directed by world-renowned directors, the series made its way into the video game industry. Alien Trilogy is one of the first 3D titles based around the nasty little Xenomorph family. Haunted by memories, you hope there is just some small oversight, some simple communications problem. But you know deep down, in the back of your mind, that they are back. Alien Trilogy is creepy in the extreme, and is certainly worthy of the associated films. They're all here, dog-aliens, chest-bursters, face-huggers, ruthless corporate schills and three queen aliens, in more than thirty acid-encrusted levels. Here is all the gut-churning action of the Alien Trilogy in one black-death, white-knuckle nightmare ride.

Championship Manager 2006The PSP version of Championship Manager 2006 arrives in early April, just as we're getting towards the business end of the 2005-2006 season in the English football leagues: time perhaps, for a reminder of just how much of one's life can be frittered away in pursuit of coaching excellence and The Golden Sheepskin. Yes, it is time, once again, to don the virtual shellsuit/double-breasted two-piece a...
Jak XWe don't know who's more famous out of Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank, but it's certainly true that PlayStation land would be a much duller place without the two duos. The former pair first caught our attention appearing in that rarest of things, a PlayStation 2 game without loading screens. That wasn't the only remarkable thing about the Jak and Daxter games though - they were actually rath...
Football Manager 2001 The FA Premier LeagueIn a market already bulging with football management games (and doubtless there are more on the way), it's good to see that EA Sports are keeping standards high. The competition for buyers of this genre is fierce, and it's safe to say that any budding soccer boss will find EA's latest instalment more than enough entertainment. Truly, the only frustration you encounter with Football Manager 2001 is...
Call of Duty 2: Big Red OneIt is, we admit, sometimes difficult to keep track of all the different World War II shooters. But Call of Duty was a pretty stand out effort, a FPS that was both arcadey and atmospheric, with a structure that eschewed giving you one player to control for the whole game in favour of a range of protagonists to play as: an American Paratrooper, a Royal Marine Commando and a Russian tank commander. I...
The Italian Job: LA HeistHere's a new one: a game based on a movie re-make, which was most likely itself inspired by the re-launch of a car. Well, it's September 2003, the film is due to hit our cinemas any day now, and Eidos and Climax are the guys who are going to be bringing the Mini Cooper-based driving experience to our PlayStation 2's. As the plot goes, Charlie Croker and his gang are left for dead in Venice after b...
