Bomberman Fantasy Race, Sony Playstation
The Bomberman franchise, now almost ten years old, has made many appearances across a variety of platforms in the form of a 2D multi-player extravaganza. But those little bombers are now making tracks into the racing genre, and in full 3D. Yes, this is Bomberman Fantasy Racing for PlayStation. But this is no ordinary racing game. There are no cars or karts in this racing game. Here, you must ride on the backs of many exotic creatures, including rhinos, kangaroos and more. There are 12 creatures in all, but getting from the beginning to the end of one of the game's race circuits is more challenging than it sounds. You are a Bomberman after all. Much of the game consists of dirty tactics. You must use your bombs and any of the 15 available power ups to take out your enemies. Reaching that finish line before anyone else is all that matters. But beware, the other racers are equally devious. The circuits have all been very well designed, and although simplistic, they are bright, colourful and offer plenty of variety for the player. From a racing point of view, there is little new in Bomberman Fantasy Racing. But from a Bomberman perspective, this title is completely original. If you love Bomberman, but are looking for something a little different from the traditional multi-player antics, Bomberman Fantasy Racing is the game of choice.

Depressing as that may sound, the harsh plot of the adventure makes it very easy for a young target audien...

Pro Evolution Soccer 5Ah verily, 'tis a thing of rare beauty, this game from Konami. EA's clunky, over-exposed and hugely overrated FIFA 06 may well sit atop the charts at the time of Pro Evolution Soccer 5's release, we reckon that this will change come the last week of October 2005, for a week or so at least. Pro Evolution Soccer really does deserve all the plaudits it gets from those footy fans more well informed th...
Gunfighter II: Revenge of Jesse JamesConsidering its perfectly apt subject material, it's surprising there haven't been more shooters based on the Wild West. If television has served us correctly, all cowboys used to do was shoot stuff with big guns (and possibly enjoy a quick smooch with the local lovely lady). So how about reliving such thrills via your PS2? Well now you can with this latest gun game from Ubi Soft, Gunfighter II: R...
