Grudge Warriors, Sony Playstation
Grudge Warriors is set in a period of gang warfare. Gangs from around the globe compete in death matches on an international scale. In control, is the evil Crime Lord, who oversees everyone's actions. A real nasty fellow, this one. In GW, you are given the god-forbidden opportunity to join one of these gangs in your quest to prove yourself to the mighty Crime Lord. Which gang you choose to join is entirely up to you; each and every gang is just as nasty as the next. Battles don't take place in the cities like you might expect. They take place on each gang's isolated home battleground. If you are playing visitor, then it's up to you destroy their defences. You can do this by destroying a number of generators situated around the arena. With no power, the opposition becomes vulnerable. It's a game of seek and destroy, but be careful not to get blasted into oblivion along the way. With 12 gangs to choose from, plenty of weapons, power-ups, and locations, there's a lot to do here.

The Mark of KriIt may look like your typical cartoon adventure, but The Mark of Kri is certainly not for the faint hearted. Granted, the game has been designed by ex-Disney and Don Bluth artists, but as far as content goes, this is one for the bigger boys (and girls). Crammed full of lopped limbs, smashed faces and impaled enemies, The Mark of Kri casts players into a Maori-inspired world of swords and sorcerers...
Frogger 2: Swampy's RevengeThe video games industry began all the way back in the very early seventies, and there aren't many games that people will remember for a considerable period of time. The likes of Pong, Tetris, and Breakout will probably be remembered throughout the history of video games. In addition to these classics is the 1981 hit, Frogger. In a now saturated industry, it appears that these classics are coming ...
Taito LegendsRead the little Taito Legends and it's clear that this game is another of those retrospective compilations of classics from the early days. It's a good one too, with the collection, brought to you on Empire's Xplosiv label, featuring a lot more than Space Invaders. One of Taito's first creations is still arguably their most famous, and the 1978 version Space Invaders is here, accompanied by two of...
Lego Rock RaidersLego Rock Raiders is linked to a themed Lego construction set toy. The game has been developed in parallel with the Lego System range and features the same mini-figures, vehicles and rock monsters that are available in the toy set. Lego Rock Raiders aims to be the first resource-based strategy game that is really 'kids compatible'. A level-based approach to the game gives children a progressive ch...

For those of you not familiar with the games, .hack casts players as protagonist Kite, himself the player of a fictional online RPG called The World. Mutation basically continues the story - that will eventually result in four chapters - picking ...
SNK Vs Capcom: SVC ChaosSNK and Capcom. It's a rivalry as old as the history of fighting games themselves. King of Fighters 98 or Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike? Four buttons or six? Kyo or Ryu? Terry or Ken? Mai or Chun-li? Despite the competition between the two companies over the years, their fighting games have actually been rather similar: 2D graphics, counters, special moves, combos and flashy super moves. The quar...
