Donald Duck Quack Attack, Sony Playstation
Ubi Soft has had a plentiful development history of well over 150 titles since its establishment in 1986. After working on 2D platforms for around eight years, the transition to 3D was met with Rayman on PlayStation. The success of the Rayman became an obvious one, and inspired Ubi Soft to create other titles within the genre of platforming. Enter, Donald Duck. After acquiring the rights from Disney, the development of Quack Attack was a speedy process, and the final release of the game looked promising. Here are the results. As yet another 3D platform game for the PlayStation, Donald Duck Quack Attack bares striking similarities to Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot. Although surrounded within 3D environments, the game does take on a linear format. In the main playing area, Quack Attack does have full 3D exploration, but after going into the game proper, the levels will be presented in one of three ways. You will either be running into the screen, out of the screen, or left to right scrolling. Quack Attack shows just how much the manipulation of a camera can add variety to the play of the game. Essentially, Quack Attack is fun to play, and that's what counts.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 RemixConsidering the success it has enjoyed on the sitting room-bound PS2, it's only natural that the Tony Hawk franchise, published by Activision and developed by Neversoft, should make an appearance on the PSP launch roster. The series has evolved at every iteration. While earlier games perfected the trick system and environments, the time came when further refinement was nearly impossible. A new dir...
