Mega Man Legends 2, Sony Playstation
Mega Man has starred in over 20 games since Capcom first introduced him, back in the 8-bit era. A testament to the popularity of the series and Capcom's ability to refine the series and give gamers what they want. Playability and Mega Man have always gone hand in hand, and Mega Man Legends 2 on the PlayStation is another example of this. To coincide with the release of Mega Man X5, a 2D platformer, Legends 2 is a 3D polygon-based, action platformer. Legends 2 picks up the story where the first game left off and greatly expands on the game world and story. Mega Man and Roll are Refractor diggers, they are travelling the world searching for the Great Legacy. The Great Legacy is rumoured to be a source of pure energy and infinite power. This power should be used for good and under no circumstances can it fall into the wrong hands. It is imperative that you find the Great Legacy first. To add to the intriguing storyline, Mega Man Legends features engaging gameplay and a superb control method. Normally, controlling the camera in a 3D platformer can be quite tricky. In Legends 2, the camera is controlled in real time by manipulating the second analogue stick, so you can move and look in separate directions simultaneously. This makes negotiating the levels a pleasure. Legends 2 is nearly twice the size of the first game and features twice as many enemies. You can also interact with the townspeople, and their help can be invaluable when taking on the massive bosses. For example, if you talk to an inhabitant who is angry with the boss, they might reveal a blind spot that you can exploit in the fight. It's moments like these that make character interaction so important in Legends 2. Mega Man Legends 2 is an involving game with many top moments to keep you entertained. Worth buying on the quality of the mini-games alone.

Colin McRae Rally 2005We always rated the Colin McRae series of games very highly (except for the blip on the radar that was '3') and 2005 is everything its immediate predecessor was, and then some. What with this and a souped-up Toca Race Driver 2 heading to PlayStation 2 in October 2004, who really needs to wait for GT4 and its gleaming 'un-scratchable' depth and immersion? Codies have provided us with more than enou...
Motocross Mania 3Released to little fanfare come the end of April 2005, Motocross Mania 3 is the latest in a long-ish line of Deibus-developed MX games. This one comes with a combat element reminiscent of Road Rash and the like. Races are not conventional three lap affairs where the position in which you cross the line becomes your placing. In Motocross Mania 3, it's about surviving the length of the race itself. ...

Fame Academy: Dance EditionWow. There's no stopping these pop star-making TV shows. Not satisfied with having our TVs taken over by the likes of Pop Stars and Pop Idol, the BBC obviously thought we could do with another one, and thus Fame Academy was born, offering the same concept, but with a slightly different approach. And that is exactly how we can sum up this latest spin-off for the PlayStation 2. Except for the differ...
Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor Underground Twin PackSet in 1944, towards the end of the second world war, you play the interactive first person shoot-em-up that is Medal of Honor in war-torn cities all over Europe. Right at the start of the game, you are given two simple offensive weapons, a shotgun, and a handful grenades. While these options may seem a little limited, the CPU controlled Nazis are thin on the ground too, so you should be able to n...
