Action Bass, Sony Playstation
Over the decades of the eighties and nineties, many genres have been created, and then exhausted. It seems that originality comes in floods, and then nothing for an eternity; just remakes of the same old genre. Then, fishing games made an appearance on 32, 64 and 128-bit formats. Initially, just the mention of the word would empty the games shops, but as sparks of interest began to show, and people began to play these so called 'boring' games, their popularity strangely increased. And now there are a number of fishing games available, one of which is Action Bass on PlayStation. As a fishing simulator, you may be wondering what features a game of this type may hold. Well, most importantly, the bait is of critical importance. There are around five different types to choose from. Unless you are a veteran of fishing, you will have to use the trial and error method to figure out which will bring in the biggest fish. Also, there are four locations to fish in; each of them have their own fishing hot spots. There are two game modes involved with Action Bass. Challenge mode being the most competitive option, gives you three minutes with which to catch the greatest weight of fish possible. Strategy needs to be employed here, since you may not always want the smaller fish. While this remains good practice for the real thing, the real thing is the best practice you can get.
