Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, Sony Playstation
As popular as BMX riding may be in UK, it has been proven that the majority of the world's best riders are from the United States, where the sport is at its most popular. There are a large number of BMX games released in the States that haven't actually made it over to UK shores, let alone any other part of the world. Occasionally, however, a BMX title slips through, and when it does, it seems to stand out on the shelf. Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX is the latest of these 'leeks' from America. In this latest conversion of the sport, you can take control of up to ten of the world's top riders, including Dave Mirra himself, and the likes of Garcia and Butler. Between them, they are capable of performing over 1'300 tricks; a huge number that will take some time accomplish. Still, you have as many as 12 street levels to practice on and get the most out of your bike. Those of you not happy with the regular levels will have the option to modify the tracks to suit your own stunts, allowing you to formulate a strategy. If, by some chance you get a little bored playing solo, there are plenty of multi-player games to challenge your friends with. Challenges such as the longest grind should keep you on the warpath for quite some time. There is lots to do in Freestyle BMX, and to keep you occupied in your all night stint, Acclaim have included some fantastically well-suited sound tracks from the likes of Sublime and Cypress Hill. Rock on!
