ATV Quad Power Racing, Sony Playstation
ATV Quad Power Racing is touted as the only console game dedicated to this particular activity available in the year 2000. Time to get excited? Well yes, actually, because ATV Quad Power Racing is a jolly good ride, especially in two-player mode. But there's plenty of fun to be had if you're on your own and feel like having a solo thrash, although given the traction of these quad bikes, thrash is overstating it a little. But no matter, it's the novelty of a new kind of racer that matters, and how it looks and plays. So get your motor running and get out on the highw...oh, hang on a minute. There are no highways. ATV Quad Power Racing consists of twelve tracks that are way out in the wild country, as races are held in all kinds of weather conditions and on all kinds of surfaces, from snow to sand and back again. Wherever you find yourself racing, things are guaranteed to get a little hairy, as there is always a field of six riders jostling for position. The courses are full of possible short cuts, but if you insist on keeping to the beaten track, there are signposts to help you when things get really frantic. The game engine is just about right too. The quad bikes aren't the easiest vehicles in the world to handle and this awkwardness is reflected in the game. These bikes can be sluggish performers at times, just like real-life, so the speed and the handling can be frustrating at first, but perseverance will bring its reward. Again, just like the real thing, ATV Quad Power Racing is a lot of fun. I just hope you can find a friend with a joypad for double the fun.

Dragon's Lair 3D: Return to the LairDating all the way back to 1983, the Dragon's Lair arcade game was notorious for its emphasis on luck and unimaginable difficulty level. Few ever finished the adventure, and even fewer did it without emptying their wallets. But it's because of this that the series is so well known, particularly amongst the older generation of gamers. And now, twenty years on, someone has finally brought Dragon's L...
Mega Man X5One of Capcom's finest characters is starring in another quality game for the PlayStation. Mega Man X5 is the continuation of the popular X series, a reversion to the classic days of 2D platformers. Some games are just meant to be played in this perspective, and if you fancy a throwback to the good old days, X5 is for you. Mega Man X5 is essentially a side-scrolling, sprite-based action game. Mega...
Everybody's GolfMinna Ho Golf is a household name in Japan, but the cartoony, nicely balanced golf game has rarely made it to these western parts of the world, where consumers have more faith in more realistic golfing sims. Now we are to be plunged into SCEI's cutesy world, as the PSP is accompanied by its own version and Everybody's Golf 4 makes its way onto PS2. The fact that what is in fact the fourth game in ...
Knockout Kings 2001EA Sports' games always come with an unwritten guarantee of quality and though the sports included in their portfolio may have you running for cover - the confusing long-windedness of American Football springs immediately to mind - there's little room for argument regarding their sports sims. They truly are the best at what they do, and what do you know, they've done it again with the sequel to Kn...

Similar to the recently released Mortal Kombat: Deception, background interactions (i.e., acid pits, living trees, spiked ceilings, etc.), multiple new fatalities, and action-based puzzles will also play an important role in the player's quest for an outstanding victory. Beyblade: Let it RipWithout fail, every Christmas there's one particular toy of some type or another that people just can't get enough of. Toy shops sell out completely, parents suffer nervous breakdowns and sometimes, if little Timmy's yuletide dreams are to come true, the only option is to go and see the dodgy bloke down the pub - the fella with the limp and the wonky eye who says he can sort you out for a price.
