Downforce, Sony Playstation
A game also being released on the Gameboy Advance, Downforce takes the traditional F1 racing genre and puts a slight spin on it. The story goes like this: Formula 1 racing has become boring, so the drivers and teams have decided to move on to 'pastures more exciting'. Condemned by the FIA for being too dangerous, this new league is banned from using the world's F1 circuits, so therefore decide to race on roads in and around major cities. Technology plays a big part in the game, with the relaxed rules allowing for the customisation and enhancement of the vehicles, the aim being to maximise speed and 'Downforce'. The game features ten cars and drivers and eight tracks, including places such as Florida, Hong Kong, Geneva, Tokyo, and Las Vegas. Game modes include Arcade Trophy, Time Attack, Free Race and Championship. Features: Four game modes (arcade trophy, free race, time attack, championship). Six main playable cars and drivers. 10 cars racing together on the track. Four extra hidden cars and driver. Six main tracks - 2 Routes per track. Two extra hidden tracks. Three difficulty modes (beginner, intermediate, and expert). Spectacular sound and graphic effects.

The multitap compatible SNES classic Super Bomberman effectively introduced a generation of console owners to the malicious joys of the four player Death Match.
