Since the mid-nineties, Casper has held a place in the hearts of many of today's younger generation. Sounds cheesy, but it's true. Not satisfied with a successful film and a long-running animated TV series, Casper made several appearances on various video game formats, and now he's coming to PlayStation 2. The amusingly-named evil emperor of darkness, Kibosh, has raised an army of monsters to wreak havoc on the world of the living. And Casper, being the friendly ghost that he is, has been called upon to put the, erm, kibosh on Kibosh's terrible plans and defeat his army using all his ghostly powers. For the first time, Casper is playable within a fully rendered free-roaming 3D environment, a-la Mario 64. There are several game worlds to roam, and the graphics and level of detail are easily up to scratch. There are a number of memorable special effects within the game, and Casper's translucent body is a nice touch. But it won't be long before you are under attack thanks to Kibosh's minions. Flying through the game environments, you must outmanoeuvre your foes and dispose of them with some newly-learned powers. There are 100+ bad guys to defeat, along with four devilish and challenging bosses. Come on kids, help the world's only friendly ghost, and have fun doing it too!
