Big Bass Fishing, Sony Playstation
Springtime, and what better way to enjoy the clement weather than with a spot of fishing? Don't fancy it? Well, stay home if you like, and do it virtually. For 2002, Take 2 releases its very own angling title, Big Bass Fishing on PlayStation. Okay, Big Bass Fishing may not be original, but it certainly is fun. You can supposedly experience the thrill of luring a feisty large-mouthed fish when playing this game, and that's true, but only to a small extent of course. But no matter how engrossing these games are or how easy it is to get carried away with the atmosphere of it all, deep down, they're still video games. Players can choose from the usual selection of bait and lure, and put their new-found skills to the test in a number of North American lakes and rivers. Three game modes - Free Fish, Tournament and Beat-the-Clock - means players can at least get more than the usual level of variety when it comes to fishing. In fact, although fishing is generally regarded as a slow-paced sport, some of Big Bass Fishing's challenges can be quite intense. So if you're hungry for fish and you own a PlayStation, it's time you sank your teeth into Big Bass Fishing.

Ridge RacerAs a launch title for Sony's first delve into the industry with PlayStation, Ridge Racer was one of the first 3D arcade titles to be made available for home use, and as such it had a lot of hype to live up to. Ridge Racer is a straight conversion from arcade to platform, no additions included, but it would seem the customers were quite happy with this, as it quickly became the best selling launch ...
Egypt 2: The Heliopolis ProphecyPlague, disease, people living in fear, and a city in ruins. Good evening Cardiff! Not quite. This game is set half the world away and in the year 1350BC (Before Cardiff). Video games that plunder the history books for inspiration are becoming more and more popular. Perhaps it's the allure of rewriting history that makes them so appealing, but these games would have limited charm if they weren't b...
