Knight Rider, Sony Playstation
If ever a license has been crying out to be made into a game then surely it has to be Knight Rider. The shadowy flight into the world of a man who does not exist was the staple TV diet of many a kid throughout the eighties, each and every one of them dreaming that they could get behind the wheel of KITT. Well, it's taken a while but that chance is finally here, via the PlayStation 2 at least. In the game, players take on the role of Michael Knight - the young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law (remember that one, do you?). There are a total of 10 missions to be completed, set across 15 tracks, which, as you'd expect, are made a lot easier by the assistance of the sleek super car. Anyone who can still remember all of KITT's high-tech features will be pleased to know that they're all included in the game. Just like in the TV programme, you can scan buildings to track down enemies, chase helicopters in Super Pursuit Mode (the one where they speeded up the film, making it look like an episode of Benny Hill) and fly over obstacles with the press of everybody's favourite button, Turbo Boost. Overall, Knight Rider is a simple and entertaining title that recreates the essence of the TV show well. Its basic structure of driving-based missions doesn't make for the deepest of gameplay, but what it does do is give players the chance to take on the role that was previously only ever filled by David 'Popular in Germany' Hasselhoff - and that's priceless.

Ultimate Spider-ManWhen bitten by spiders on planet Earth, you can normally expect one of the following to happen: mild discomfort, but otherwise no ill effects; illness; horrific rotting of the skin; an unpleasant and feverish death, even. But, when mild mannered orphan Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider, something much better followed: the creation of surely the greatest hero ever to grace the pages o...
Super Slammin' DodgeballIt has to be said that dodgeball is a seldom-covered sport when it comes to computer and video games. In fact, if you don't count those painful PE lessons at school, where you'd be running around in just a pair of ill-fitting shorts whilst the school's answer to Mike Tyson tries to assassinate you with a medicine ball, then you don't really see much of the sport in general. Well Midas seem to be t...
SingStarFor a number of years now, voice recognition-style software has been a singer's best friend, putting them in tune during post-production and thus helping to convince the music-buying public that the likes of Victoria Beckham can actually sing. Well, the devious minds at Sony London have had other plans and, rather than helping the world's vocalists, are now using similar technology to judge them. ...
