NHL 2K3, Sony Playstation
Sega Sports are the new owners of the ESPN license, and Konami's loss is their gain - NHL 2K3 is the latest in the ice hockey series, and it's all prettied up for PS2, thanks to Sega. More than just familiar names on jerseys, NHL 2K3 offers a level of player realism including body shape, individual skill and behaviour, resulting in a collection of possibly toothless Canadian man-mountains and accurate styles of play. Now gamers can battle for pucks in the corners and fast skaters exploit their speed. An all-new Franchise Mode lets you capitalise on player accuracy to develop a team that plays your brand of hockey. Now you can draft hot-shot rookies, trade for players who can improve the overall quality of your team, replace injured players and more. Then you can put that precision to work on the ice by anchoring lines with key players and rotating those lines to create the match-ups you want. Tying it all together is the new ESPN broadcast system where scores and highlights are presented in the TV network's famous style, putting NHL 2K3 in prime position for a repeat season as the leader in hockey realism. Unlike the Xbox version, the PS2 is not online-enabled - not yet, anyway - so those looking to go online with the help of the broadband adapter are going to have to wait a while. No matter, NHL 2K3 is a stylish addition to the Sega Sports canon.

Stuart Little 3: Big Photo AdventureStuart Little is the enchanting tale of a New York family and their acceptance of their son, a talking mouse. A well-loved American children's book, it was written by E.B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams more than half a century ago. Delightfully, if bizarrely, in the original book Mrs. Little actually gives birth to a small, mouse-like child. The 1999 film of the same name disappointed fa...
Motor MayhemMotor Mayhem is pleasantly different from the majority of other car games out there. If a games got cars in it, it's natural to assume that it's a racing game. Motor Mayhem is closer to a fighting game than anything else. Strange, but if it works, do it. Round one, fight. Motor Mayhem is one-on-one gladiator style combat with cars, if this sounds good, read on. The aim of the game is to be the las...

WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2006Last year saw the release of the first Smackdown! Vs. Raw. We won't pretend to be privy to the intricate differences between the two established flavours of THQ wrestling games, but it has to be good news that the publisher has taken to squeezing them both onto the same disk. It was certainly a popular move for wrestling game fans, who voted with their wallets and bought more copies of the last ga...
FIFA 99“FIFA 99? That's just so 20th century, dahling!” Well maybe that's what fans of football video games may say, but hey! Cut the snobbery! You can wait for the next big thing all you like, but the hard fact is that FIFA 99 is a very good game and should not be overlooked because of its numeric suffix. As is the case with the majority of Electronic Arts' sports titles, there's everything ...
Way of the Samurai 22002's samurai slasher from Capcom, Way of the Samurai, was a much-liked adventure that was best known for its open-ended gameplay and free-roaming nature. And in true Capcom style, none of you will be surprised to hear that a sequel has been developed for PlayStation 2. Way of the Samurai 2 is set during a feudal era of Japan at the end of the Edo period in the conflict-laden town of Amahara. The...
