All Star Tennis, Sony Playstation
More budget sporting action to be had with this latest PlayStation 'All Star' release from Midas. This time the subject matter in question is the old English favourite Tennis, appearing in the form of a simple, cartoon-style bat 'n ball romp. Although cheap and cheerful in appearance, All Star Tennis is still packed full of all the usual game options and modes that you'd normally associate with higher priced titles. You can play through both singles and doubles matches, with varying game lengths and difficulty levels, and all the common surface types are in there, lending a little variety to the proceedings. The main mode for the solitary player is, rather expectedly, Tournament mode. In this you select from a list of 16 different characters, each with their own individual playing style, and work your way through a number of increasingly difficult matches in order to achieve your crowning glory. Failing that there's also the option of a free mode, which allows you to opt for the quick and easy single match. A nice touch in All Star Tennis is its multiplayer support. With the aid of a trusty multitap, up to four players can take part in the action - an element of gaming that never ceases to entertain. At the end of the day, All Star Tennis is pretty much a bog standard, no frills tennis game, but its wealth of options combined with its understated price tag mean that it's certainly worth adding to your dusty PSX collection.

Charlie's AngelsOnce upon a time... There were three little girls who went to the Police Academy. And they were each assigned very hazardous duties. But I took them away from all that, and now they work for me. My name is Charlie. That's right - it's finally happened. The classic, camp, queen of the retros has finally made the venture into video game form, obviously inspired by the release of the film sequel as o...

Hunter the Reckoning: WaywardThe burgeoning Hunter brand makes a move onto the PlayStation 2 with the release of Wayward, returning players to the sleepy town of Ashcroft, two years after the events of the original Hunter: The Reckoning. Two years that have remained peaceful, to be more specific, but obviously that's not set to last - a cult has formed underground and now events reminiscent of the past are starting to occur a...
Silent Hill 2 Director's CutRight, let's just clear a few things up here with regard to Konami's somewhat confusing Silent Hill 2 release strategy. We first witnessed the Silent Hill sequel back in November 2001. Then came Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears on the Xbox, which offered spruced up visuals, a new chapter and a new playable female character. We are now given the same game on the Playstation 2, but it goes by the name of ...
Cy GirlsWhereas most game licences are normally associated with films or TV, this latest futuristic action romp from Konami is actually based on a range of action figures by the name of 'Fighting Heroines'. And fighting heroines is exactly what's on offer here, with two sleek and (obviously) sexy leading ladies in a fight against evil and with more than a few skills and tricks up their collective sleeves....
