C-12: Final Resistance and Medievil Twin Pack, Sony Playstation

A combination of two of Sony's own, this twin pack includes Medievil and the Sony Cambridge developed C-12: Final Resistance. The C-12 storyline concerns an alien invasion of Earth and protagonist Lieutenant Vaughan is sent to wage war against the extraterrestrial forces that have taken to capturing humans and enslaving them, turning them into half-human, half-alien warriors. The visuals, whilst looking distinctly old-school, are gloomily atmospheric, and the soundtrack is as unsettlingly creepy as anything delivered by any Norwegian Black Metal band you care to mention. An adventure with a sense of exploration, weapons and gadgets have to be searched for thoroughly and are pretty much essential to your battle, so leave no stone unturned as you make your way through the post-apocalyptic setting. Medievil, though complete with ghosts, skeletons and goblins, is slightly more comical. Lost to the winds of time is the history of Gallowmere, a land where magic has overtaken science and one sorcerer, the tormented Zarok, has harnessed its darkest powers. Sir Daniel Fortesque is the only man who can defeat him. Unfortunately he died over a hundred years ago. Doh! Awakened as a skeletal knight, Fortesque must amass an arsenal of weapons to use against the twisted wizard. Medievil features awesome lighting effects, unique characters and a humorous, enthralling story in an action-packed RPG-style adventure. Great stuff.
