The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Sony Playstation
Ang Lee's Hulk film lent a more thoughtful air to the recent flurry of Marvel Comics movie adaptations. The franchise could easily have become a rambunctious, SFX heavy romp, but the director chose a more psychological angle, probing the darkest recesses on Dr. Bruce Banner's mind for much of the film. And so it was with the film's inevitable accompanying videogame. Sneaking around as Banner, the aim was often to avoid transforming into the Hulk for as long as possible to avoid jeopardising your mission as you search for a cure. And we liked it quite a lot. Now the Hulk returns to consoles in The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. We pick up the story and Bruce finally has a much-longed for cure to his condition in his sights, and has constructed a machine in his forest hideout that may be able to help him. But the US government will stop at nothing in their misguided attempts to destroy the Hulk. In an attack on his lair, the machine is destroyed. It's lucky for Bruce that he's not alone - his friend, the psychotherapist has been helping him to control his disorder, but now is the time to unleash the beast within. By undergoing hypnosis Bruce is able to summon the Hulk from within him at will - the great green one's strength is his only hope if his wishes to gather the components he needs to rebuild his invention. As in the last game the Hulk's powers are beyond your wildest dreams. Pick up bits of the scenery and chuck them at your enemies as you roam freely through the game's 30 missions. 40 side challenges and over 150 attacks and combos ensure that this will take plenty of time to master. Face arch-enemies from the comic books such as the Abomination, Mercy and the Hulk-Busters as they stand between you and a normal, mutation free life. But just for the meantime, even if for the last time, enjoy it.

Def Jam VendettaWhat's the best way to go about solving the problems associated with gang violence and the glorification of such activities within hip-hop culture? Ignore it and it'll go away? Or how about basing a video game on such exploits? We'll gleefully take the latter, as provided by EA Canada and developer AKI. If you're a spotty herbert with a penchant for rap and like to dish out virtual beatings via a ...
Totally AngelicaWhen Rugrats was first aired on British TV in the early nineties, the cartoon-loving public went berserk. Not content with loads of TV exposure, thousands of pieces of merchandise and a big-screen outing, fans of the phenomena wanted more, and those with game consoles got exactly that. Several video games have been already been produced, featuring the Rugrats, but none aimed specifically at a fema...

Midway Arcade Treasures Extended PlayApart from possibly when Pac-Man was first gobbling up the world's small change, or when Space Invaders was first invading pubs, bars and diners on a global scale (and causing such national crises as Japan running out of 100 Yen coins!) it seems that retro gaming has never been so popular. Gaming's not what it used to be, so many of you cry, as you battle your way through brilliantly recreated 3D ...
