Championship Manager 2006, Sony Playstation
The PSP version of Championship Manager 2006 arrives in early April, just as we're getting towards the business end of the 2005-2006 season in the English football leagues: time perhaps, for a reminder of just how much of one's life can be frittered away in pursuit of coaching excellence and The Golden Sheepskin. Yes, it is time, once again, to don the virtual shellsuit/double-breasted two-piece and tie/Jose Mourinho 'That coat's from Matalan!'-type length jacket and get down to some serious Harry Redknapp-style wheeling and dealing. Your mission? To assemble a squad of players that can take on the best in not only the domestic league, but in foreign fields too. Championship Manager 2006 (CM2006) allows you the chance to take your club to glory, but only by taking full responsibility in dealing with everything: from tactics and training to transfers and contract negotiations, improving the morale of your squad and the moods of individuals, and some things that even the likes of Big Sam Allardyce and Little Stevie Coppell wouldn't dream of having to do, such as accepting a cash injection from a wealthy benefactor or doing your own scouting. Championship Manager 2006 on PSP features 55 playable leagues across the top 12 footballing nations, a realistic 2D match engine and Quick and Challenge modes. There are now improved manager options to influence your team tactics, 25,000 players and a fully interactive transfer system with up to date January 2006 transfer data. CM2006, then; another footy management game with the power to destroy any meaningful relationships you may have/may be thinking of initiating. At least you can pick this up and walk away within a few seconds of being on the end of one of those filthy looks from your other half...

London RacerSome might say that the best way to see the sights of London is from the top of a double -decker, open-topped bus. After a few plays of London Racer you might change your mind. Plus there's the added bonus of breathing clean air as you're racing around: something you definitely couldn't do if you were in the cap...

Soul Calibur 2It's time to make your decision. There are two kinds of people in this world. One kind sneers almost poisonously at Sega's hardware demise. The other rues it, knowing that the true progression of home entertainment has been lost forever, trusted to companies that will never love, and most importantly, never understand what gaming is all about. The killer app hosted by the Dreamcast was for a long ...
