Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year, Microsoft Xbox
The sequel to Infinity Ward's 2003 Game of the Year returns with a portrayal of war in unparalleled cinematic intensity, as seen through the eyes of ordinary soldiers fighting together in epic World War II conflicts. Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year increases the intensity of CoD2 with the addition of two new multiplayer maps and a bonus DVD. There is no doubt that the game of the year edition is the most complete CoD2 experience to date. COD2 is powered by a proprietary engine that features detailed visuals, advanced A.I. technology, authentic squad combat and realistic action in new recreations of historic campaigns. This version offers gamers more intense and realistic warfare than ever before, as players experience the stories of four different soldier's who overcome overwhelming odds in multiple campaigns. The game travels around the European theatre of operations, where you will find yourself scaling cliffs on D-Day, facing the likes of Rommel in tank battles across the deserts of North Africa and hunting down tanks in a Russia blown to smithereens by years of conflict. The single player game in COD2 puts you in the midst of huge battles, where you will have to rely on your comrades around you. The game uses a sophisticated squad system that connects you directly with the dozens of soldiers fighting by your side - they will have to give you cover, take cover themselves and even distract the enemy's attention from what you are planning to do. Your comrades will also warn you of incoming fire and approaching enemies. The environments used throughout the game are more complex and atmospheric than ever, with shell-churned countryside and desolate cityscape views. This first-person shooter also includes a multiplayer mode, with the return of the much-loved Call of Duty team-based gameplay.

In fact, we'll go one step further. We'll even say that should you have withheld buying an Xbox 360 up to this point ...
Fight Night Round 3Fight Night Round 3 (FNR3) signals the return of the sweaty man mountain in shiny shorts x2 and the only real competitor to take to the ring in 2006. Where have all the boxing games gone? Well, pardon our pugilist parlance, but essentially, they're all here in EA's third tilt at the heavyweight title. You really wouldn't need any of the other pretenders, even if there were any. FNR3 hits the spot ...

The player-creator is upgraded with whole new Digita...
Burnout RevengeJust think... incredibly enough, some gamers, somewhere will not have been exposed to Burnout Revenge on its previous release. Players whose first and only console was a 360 (are there really such beings!?) have waited for around four months to get involved, and can now get their mitts on the brute. What have they been missing? Blimey, where to start? Manna from heaven for those not sated by the E...
